NFAA lines up for 2013.
20th March: As their first 2013 outing, next week’s Festival of Power at Santa Pod Raceway, approaches Lawrie Gatehouse has been in touch with a preview of the Nostalgia Fuel Altered Association:Dave Grabham, Team Freddy’s Revenge: A new look Freddy’s Revenge for the 2013 season, with a chassis built from the remains of the Venom AA/FA which Tony Betts spectacularly put upside down in 2009. The extensive rebuild includes a whole new front end from the motor plate forward and a new roll cage. The team carried out the work, with help and advice gratefully received from Jason Phelps and Andy Robinson. Power comes from a methanol burning 511 ci Donovan Chevy built by Rob Loaring and is transmitted via a three-plate Crower clutch and a three-speed Lenco gearbox to a nine-inch Ford rear end with Strange internals and brakes. The venerable Topolino body has been reworked and sports a new paint scheme designed by Darren West of Power Race Graphics. The team would like to thank Gordon Northway of Valley Carpets, Mark and Huw for their continuing support during what has been a couple of exasperating seasons.
